The Powerleap PL-AX/P adapter allows older AMD Socket A 462 motherboards that were previously limited to AMD Thunderbird core (Athlon 1400) CPUs to use the newer Thoroughbred and Barton Core AMD XP CPUs. This adapter provides full hardware multiplier control (multiplier unlocking) for AMD XP cpus that have the multipliers unlocked.
