Adtran Atlas 800 Series Quad Nx56/64 V.35 Expansion Module - 4 x Synchronous Serial WAN - Expansion Module

The Quad Nx 56/64 module combines with other ATLAS components to provide solutions for a variety of wide area networking applications. Providing four synchronous V.35 DTE ports, the Quad Nx 56/64 module serves as the interface for high speed routers and other DTE equipment to access the wide area network. Each port of the Quad Nx 56/64 module can be configured through soft-ware to operate at any multiple of 56 K or 64 Kbps, up to 2.048 Mbps. Using the ATLAS Channel Mapping Utility, a port can be mapped to one or more DS0s of a T1 or T3 circuit, providing high performance connections to remote locations. For switched access applications, ATLAS can be configured to route calls between the Quad Nx 56/64 module and ISDN (Basic Rate or Primary Rate) circuits.As with all ATLAS components, configuration can be accomplished through a variety of mechanisms, including Telnet or VT 100 Emulation. SNMP management is supported for alarm and event reporting. The Quad Nx 56/64 module supports an 8, 000 bps in-band management channel to communicate with remote ADTRAN TSU devices. This channel can be configured to be available full-time or to be active only when there is management information to communicate between devices. The Quad Nx 56/64 module includes an extensive array of diagnostic tools, to assist in identifying and correcting network problems. Included is a built-in Self-Test utility, as well as standards-based 511 test pattern generators and detectors for each of the four ports. Key interface signals from each of the four ports are monitored and displayed, providing real time status of network activity.
