The Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with SpeedBooster easily connects your notebook to either 802.11g or 802.11b networks. With a data transfer rate up to 54 Mbps it lets you wirelessly access your e-mail, the Internet, share files and other resources such as printers and network storage with other computers on the network. It protects your wireless communications using 64/128-bit WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) and industrial-strength security of Wireless Protected Access (WPA). For added versatility, the notebook adapter is backward compatible with Wireless-B (802.11b) devices found in any public hotspots springing up in coffee shops, airport lounges, hotels and convention centers.
