The VXA-2 Packet Internal Tape Drive from Exabyte provides reliable data protection, and optimal drive performance. Using its Ultra2 LVD SCSI interface, it features a sustained data transfer rate of up to 6 MBps (native) and 12 MBps (compressed). Supporting media with 80 GB native and 160 GB compressed capacities, the VXA-2 can read and write data in the native VXA-2 format as well as VXA-1 format. Its VXA-2 Packet technology provides enhanced restore integrity, high data transfer speeds and scalable capacity. With PerfectWrite and 4 level Reed-Solomon Error Correction, this drive can restore your data even from a damaged tape! The VXA-2 Packet drive is compatible with various VXA drives, media and automation products.
