The FC-65 Dual Ported 2 GB Fiber Channel Card from Texas Memory Systems features two 2 Gbps optical (LC) fiber channel interface ports. It supports both 2 Gb and 1 Gb devices and auto-negotiates to operate in the proper mode. The FC-65 supports point-to-point, switched fabric, and arbitrated loop topologies available under the Fiber Channel protocol. This controller provides a linear increase in system I/O and bandwidth, by offering up to 400 MBps peak bandwidth and around 70,000 IPOS. The FC-65 supports active-passive failover. In a switched environment, it is possible to set one controller as active and another as passive so that the system can failover in the event a link, controller or switch port fails. In addition, with provision for multipathing, the card enhances availability and protects users in the event of controller, cable or HBA failure. The FC-65 Dual Ported 2 GB Fiber Channel Card is specifically designed for the RamSan-320 Series Solid State Disks.
