The DSB-500 2-Port USB PCI Controller from D-Link allows connection of up to 2 USB peripherals, devices, or USB hubs to a Windows 95 OSR2 or Windows 98 PC. The DSB-500 is targeted at users with older PCs that have no integrated USB support, and users with newer PCs who wish to add additional USB ports. It provides two type 'A' downstream ports for connecting USB peripherals and USB hubs. Configured directly by the operating system, the DSB-500 operates in accordance with Intel's UniversalHCI specification. It provides up to 500 mA of current to any attached USB peripheral, device or USB Hub. This function allows any bus-powered devices to operate without the need of an external power adapter. The DSB-500 is packaged with all necessary manuals and is a true plug and play device to ensure an easy and quick installation.
