The Alpine 3802 Chassis Switch from Extreme Networks is ideal for service providers and metropolitan area networks (MANs). It has 3 slots with a built-in Switch Management Module (SMMi). Providing enhanced availability, scalability and management features, this chassis supports up to 4096 VLANs. The Extreme Standby Router Protocol (ESRP) provides Layer 2 and Layer 3 redundancy for smart, fast failover to a default router or switch. In addition, it provides 16 Gbps switch fabric and 12 Mpps forwarding rate. With the flexibility and scalability of a modular chassis, the Alpine chassis switch provides a complete solution for Ethernet network connectivity. This chassis comes bundled with a single AC PSU and fan tray.
