4-Port Threat Protection System 2050 Intrusion Sensor

The Intrusion Sensor from Nortel uses a rule-based detection method to examine protocol fields. They are set to look for specific attacks against a protocol, or to look for the conditions of an attack. Each sensor includes a built-in rules database that includes full descriptions of common vulnerabilities and exposures. Security administrators are able to adjust all rules to fine-tune inspection, specify source and destination addresses and offset the inspection point to improve performance and catch threats that are hidden deep within the data payload. The Threat Protection System features 1 GB RAM and 80 GB HDD. It delivers 100 Mbps of intrusion sensing and includes 4 x 10/100/1000 TX.
