The Dell PowerVault 100T Travan 40 delivers data integrity capabilities and fast backup rates for PowerEdge servers in small network environments. With a combination of data compression and compaction, the tape drive offers a formatted cartridge capacity of 20 GB (40 GB assuming a 2:1 compression ratio) and a sustained user data transfer rate of up to 2 MBps (up to 4 MBps with 2:1 compression). The drive includes an auto throttle design that matches tape drive speed to the host system for efficient backup operations and reduced wear and tear of drive and drive components. It uses Travan 40 technology and is read and write compatible with Travan 40 tape cartridges and read only compatible with Travan 20 media. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems to ensure it will work with your computer and is compatible with the Dell Systems. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
